I know everybody’s doing what they can these days to help the people of Haiti, and that’s fantastic. Here’s another way, if you’ve got more bucks and want an entertaining bang: on Wednesday January 28, I’ll be performing at a benefit show at the ComedySportz Theatre in Hollywood. The show will go from 8 to 11 pm, more or less, and I’m scheduled to do a song or two in the first hour. A $10 donation gets you in, and you can stay for as much as you’d like. There will be improv from several LA-area groups, plus stand-up comedy and musical acts including, toward the end, the toe-tapping Dustbowl Cavaliers, friends of mine whose bluegrassy/country/rocky tunes will have you jumping in your seat. There will be wine, beer, baked goods and other stuff available for a donation, and a raffle! 100% of all proceeds go directly to two worthy Haitian projects.
